Leonid Grudin
Biography
Leonid Grudin studied flute with Prof Jean-Michel Tanguy at the Mannheim State Academy of Music from 1990 to 1995 and graduated as an orchestral musician. In 1998, he obtained a diploma in artistic training and in 2001 a diploma in concert performance with Prof Maxence Larrieu.
Leonid Grudin has been solo piccolo flutist at the Deutsche Staatsoper under the direction of Daniel Barenboim since 2002.
During this time he has played in various orchestras: Berliner Philharmoniker, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Camerata Bern, Semperoper Dresden, MDR Symphony Orchestra, SWR Symphony Orchestra.
He has been teaching piccolo flute at the Hanns Eisler School of Music since 2017.
Leonid Grudin has been a lecturer in flute at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Berlin since 2016.
