Renowned flutist Lilja Steininger will be offering an exclusive Flute Audition training on June 16 and 17 at the Anton Rubinstein Music Academy in Düsseldorf.

Born in 1994 in Berlin to a family of musicians, Lilja Steininger is one of the outstanding flutists of her generation. As a young musician, she won first prize at the national level of the Jugend musiziert competition for six consecutive years and made her solo debut at the age of 14 with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. She pursued her studies at prestigious institutions such as the Julius Stern Institute at the University of the Arts in Berlin and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she studied under Prof. Hansgeorg Schmeiser.

At the age of 20, she became an academist of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, where she gained valuable experience through rehearsals, concerts, festivals, and tours. As a chamber musician, she regularly performs with her sister, pianist Aniele Steininger, as the Steininger Duo. She has also won international recognition, including 1st prize at the Osaka International Music Competition and 3rd prize at the UNISA Flute and Clarinet Competition in South Africa.

Today, Lilja Steininger is the principal flutist of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and has been teaching at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein since 2021.

This masterclass is designed for advanced flutists who wish to refine their technique and interpretation under professional guidance. Participants will receive individual coaching and valuable insights into solo and chamber music performance.
